It's been a long time since my last entry but honestly I find it difficult to remember to write on my blog, maybe the reason is that I've never been a blogger before.
Today I was able to listen to my classmates talking about education in other countries and I noticed that they were very nervous as they where delivering the information. And despite the fact I know that critics are to improve their future performances I understand that it's not easy to speak in front of our mates and accept their critics. As we said in class today adults don't like the idea of making mistakes in public and I think that is the main reason for being so nervous.
I find speaking in class really uncomfortable if I speak to my classmates you can notice because my face turns red but when I stand in front of my students I feel a lot more confidence so maybe it's because they don't seem to be judging what I say or what I do.
Anyway being a teacher requires a lot of training and I think the activity of talking about other countries will help us to get a richer experience.

Personal opinion about Freedom writers
It is an interesting movie. I really liked it because it shows what happens in school real life and different situations that teachers have to deal with. Is nice to see how Miss "G" gets involved with all the issues and problems of her students. The way she tries to catch their attention is the perfect combination of learning a subject and moral duties.
I found that the attitude of the woman, who is the head of department, an the way she lavels the students is similar to the attitude of some headmistress and teachers here in Argentina. They don't think that students can overcome their situation of poverty and that they will not appreciate the knowledges or even the books or any material that is given to them.
I felt like Miss "G" on her first day at work when I started working with my students. They don't have the problems the students in the movie had. What I mean is that it was a new experience, and at the beggining it is thought that is easy to stand in front of a class and explain the activities, there are a lot of ideas in your mind that you want to try with the students and you feel really nervous because you don't know if you could manage to have a solution for any situation. After your first day, you realize that it's not as easy as it seems because your students are human beings and they have a family, they also have a life outside the classroom and the school and it is impossible to separate one thing from the other. Getting involved with what happens with them is important to become a better teacher and to help them to become better persons.

First time writing
I have to say that this is my first time writing in a blog. I started attending Practica Docente last year and I really enjoyed classes. I think I was learning a lot of new concepts I had never thought about before but I decided to drop it as there were many problems with Practica docente Generalista. I think it is important to attend subjects and learn as much as possible in order to get the knowledges that are necessary to become a good teacher.
Practica especialista is a very useful subject I like it very much and I'm loking forward to pass it this year. Maybe you will notice that I don't speak too much in class and that's because I'm a little bit shy but I'll do my best to try to change it. Unfortunately I've been having some health problems and I haven't been able to attend to all classes. That bothers me a little as I don't like to be absent.
